There was a lot of snow around the World Christmas Circus in Stuttgart, but Martin Lacey Jnr. and his team proved their all-weather-capability. Whilst they had tea and coffee out of a thermos to keep themselves going during the dismantling of the enclosures, the lions were smugly napping in their de-luxe heated wagons. They needed the rest, for there was long tour ahead of them: from snowy Stuttgart the Lacey lions were to travel directly to sunny Monte Carlo.
